UNA Student First to Graduate from Dual Degree Engineering Program with Alabama 2018

It just so happens that K8彩乐园 alumnus Taylor Myrick is also a University of Alabama alumnus.  和 while that may sound pretty common, Myrick’s path to the dual degree was a first for UNA. 

Myrick is the first UNA student to complete the Dual Degree Engineering Program (DDEP), which is a 3+2 plan that offers students the opportunity to earn two bachelor’s degrees in five years from UNA and the University of Alabama.  的 program is designed to allow students to attend three years at UNA and two years at UA.

UNA math major John Carr receives first place award for "Best Student Presentation"

UNA math major John Carr received the first place award for "Best Student Presentation" at Kennesaw Mountain Undergraduate Mathematics Conference (KMUMC 2014) at Kennesaw State University over Fall Break weekend, 10月11日, 2014. "Dr. Jessica Stovall's research in Functional Analysis with an emphasis in Operator 的ory has taken her across the country and the world, from an invited presentation at the University of Arkansas to an international conference at Leiden University in the Netherlands.

Dr. Stovall's math/CS education research works to increase STEM readiness among high schoolers through collaborative work with regional teachers using computer programming to teach mathematical thinking skills.
